Tough Winter

I am a little bit of a data junkie. Six years ago I bough myself a Davis Instruments weather station. With six years of data I am now able to calculate averages and deviations from average weather. April 2011 had the lowest mean daily temperature in six years of data. It was also the 2nd wettest year in six years of data, 2010 was the wettest. What does this mean? As the investment brokers say past performance does not predict future performance. It says what we all know, it was a very cool and wet April. The forecast for the first week of May looks better. It was 102 in my greenhouse before I opened the door and turned on the fans. May be spring is on the way. Now time to green up the landscapes and get out and enjoy the sun!!
